The story of Mpatsiolas Rice is more than just the story of an agricultural business. It’s the story of a family, a deep connection to the land, and a journey that began humbly—with love and belief—and evolved into a model of quality and professionalism.
It all starts in Chalastra, Thessaloniki, a place rich in tradition, experience, and the spirit of Greek agriculture. Here, farming is not just an occupation—it’s a way of life, a daily routine, and a strong part of identity. In this land, every seed is sown with respect, and every harvest is carried out with care, effort, and responsibility.
Our Story
Mpatsiolas Rice was founded on the experience of three generations of rice farmers, who passed down knowledge, values, and a love for the land from father to son. This traditional foundation became the bedrock for building a modern and evolving model of agricultural entrepreneurship.
With the guidance of Filippos Mpatsiolas, agronomist and producer, the business began to transform—from a conventional farm into a fully integrated agricultural company, combining expertise, technology, and core values.
From the Soil… to Quality
Rice cultivation remains the central pillar of our activity, but our philosophy goes far beyond the field. Every stage of production, from sowing to distribution, is handled with the same level of responsibility and care. For us, quality is not a coincidence—it’s the result of daily dedication, consistency, and attention to detail.
Today, Mpatsiolas Rice:
- Cultivates over 4,000 stremmas of land, primarily rice fields, using responsible agricultural practices.
- Produces and distributes high-quality Greek rice for wholesale, ensuring full quality control and traceability in every batch.
- Offers harvesting services using technologically advanced machinery and specialized staff.
- Operates a modern rice storage and drying facility (silo), designed according to European standards for preserving product quality.
- Continuously invests in innovation, training, and infrastructure, building a sustainable, flexible, and quality-driven production model.
